ABOUT THE TEAM:

Here’s an opportunity to start at the top: VerdictSearch is the country’s leading provider of verdict and settlement information. You will produce case reports for our newsletters and a case database that comprises more than 200,000 reports. Although you will be expected to cultivate sources, you will be supported by a team of assignment editors who scour the courts and compile lists of recent cases for you to track. We offer a fun, challenging work environment that provides long-term stability: The average VerdictSearch employee has been here nearly six years.

Responsibilities:

  • File 13 case reports a week
  • Conduct telephone interviews with sources
  • Develop law-firm relationships and cultivate sources
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be comfortable using the telephone and conducting interviews
  • Prior experience at a daily or weekly print publication is strongly preferred
  • An aggressive personality and sharp attention to detail are keys to success
  • Strong reporting and writing skills are a must
  • A law degree or relevant experience is helpful but not necessary
