This versatile and determined journalist will possess a deep sense of urgency and an understanding of our role in a competitive news environment.

In this beat, you'll juggle a wide variety of short- and long-range stories, from breaking news and quick takes to in-depth projects. We need someone who can spot trends and build out enterprise stories that resonate with our community.

Our organization values watchdog and public service journalism. The ideal candidate will have experience with public document requests, as well as multimedia storytelling techniques and video.

This position is based in our Bloomington, Illinois office and includes weekend and evening shifts.
