Primary Purpose
Monitor open studio/lab hours of art and design dedicated spaces and assist with 2-D course activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor student use of the designated art and design spaces during open labs/studios and clean up at the end of each shift.
- Responsible for the safety and security of the equipment in the classroom, turning off all equipment, and verifying the room is locked and secure.
- May assist in art and design classes and events if needed, working with the student’s schedule.

- Handling of tools and materials according to safety guidelines.

- Ability to remain flexible and do different tasks on a daily basis.

- Ability to use software including Microsoft Office Suite and email.
Ergonomic Requirements
A flexible work schedule may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities. Opportunities may exist for nights and weekends.
Art & Design | 2-D Studio/Lab Attendant must be able to function effectively indoors in an art and design studio/lab environment. Requires the ability to write, read written materials and computer screens, and the ability to use telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 40lbs. May need to use a ladder. All individuals are required to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Requirements
- Awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2024-2025.
- Meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with 2-D art media.
- Have taken 2-D art and design courses.
- Knowledge of 2-D art and design supplies and equipment.
