Part-time Marketing Specialist (20 hours weekly)
The ideal candidate should be prepared to work about 20 hours per week – scheduling can be flexible, but work will mostly be during business hours. A hybrid work structure is available. However, attendance at occasional client events during non-business hours is preferred. This role will NOT involve sales or delivery of financial advice.

- ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Marketing Content
- Social media
- Edit marketing videos provided by our marketing vendor
- Draft additional SM posts to share updates about Hilltop
- Use AI to generate and edit content
- Email marketing ~2 monthly
- Drip list - update mailing/email lists for BGM monthly – to ensure all clients, prospects, and leads are receiving are materials
- Mail marketing 1 monthly
- Drip list - update mailing/email lists for BGM monthly – to ensure all clients, prospects, and leads are receiving are materials
- Goodwill/etiquette letters – review and update our library of letters to send extra touches to our clients
- Website –
- Make regular updates as guided
- Manage SEO
- Update pop-ups seasonally to generate new leads
- Other content as led by manager
- Obtain compliance and manager approval for all materials before publication
- Social media
- Client and Prospect Events
- Identify local venues for marketing events
- Coordinate with vendors
- Be available onsite at client events to manage logistics
- Propose alternative event types to enable us to meet new prospects and deepen client relationships

- Send client gifts as suggested by advisors and other team members
- Regularly update content in our in-office digital photo frames
- Prospecting/new client stats - track and provide regular reporting
- Help build firm relationships with Centers of Influence (other financial professionals), by scheduling lunches and other outreach for our COIs

- POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
- Required/preferred education and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Comfortable adopting new technology
- Preferred experience - copy editing, video editing, and/or graphic design, search engine optimization, social media management
- Typical skills and knowledge requirements:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, empathy, and listening)
- Strong self-leadership skills and effective at collaborating with a team
- Personal integrity and honesty, and can protect confidential information
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problem

- COMPENSATION
- $40-45 per hour paid bi-weekly depending on experience and qualifications
