The DuMOL Marketing Associate will have aptitude for brand management and hospitality. The role's focus is supporting long-term sustainable sales, achieved through sharing DuMOL's perspective (storytelling/brand strategy) and assisting in creating unique experiences (events marketing/tasting room hospitality). The Marketing Associate will collaborate cross-functionally with wholesale, direct sales, hospitality, and events to identify relevant opportunities and execute initiatives that will grow awareness, acquisition, and engagement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Brand Ambassador and manager to ensure social media content is created and executed as planned across all platforms.
- Help identify potential collaborations with like-minded influencers and brands to extend reach, awareness, and relevance.
- Monitor, update, and maintain brand websites and online presence as needed, with focus on SEO and SEM.
- Collaborate with DtC Sr. Manager to support communications campaigns for seasonal releases.
- Collaborate and partner cross-functionally on awareness and acquisition efforts.
- Compile data and generate reports to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
- Host guests at the winery tasting room, pour wine at trade and consumer events, and share key points of interest to build brand affinity.
- Collaborate with BA to develop events follow-up plan to increase acquisition from events.
- Build relationships with key external stakeholders (restaurants, somms, concierges, etc.).
- Organize and recommend responses for donation requests; manage fulfilment of wine and marketing materials; track budget.
- Collaborate with manager and wholesale lead to project manage development of collateral materials (Vintage Yearbook and international trade events).
Desired Educational & Certifications Qualifications
- A four-year degree in Marketing or Business (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- 3 years of relevant work experience and a track record of success.
- Experience or awareness of luxury wine, retail, restaurants, or hospitality.
- Demonstrate drive, ambition, self-awareness, and desire for continual improvement.
- Ability to project manage multi-faceted initiatives while hitting deadlines.
- Ability to be self-directed and work autonomously.
- Confidence with technology and software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms, ecommerce systems, and email marketing platforms.
- Knowledge of wine, viticulture and winemaking processes, or an interest to learn.
- Willingness to travel, including on occasional weekends.
Location: Primary work location will be in Napa. The Marketing Associate will be required to commute to the winery (Windsor, CA) semi-regularly and travel nationally on occasion.
Salary Range: $70,000 - $115,000
