This includes the company’s fast-growing direct-to-consumer products business, featuring comedic apparel and accessories based on what’s trending, as well as our Breezy golf apparel line. Today, Doing Things is looking to expand its team as we extend our reach to bring smiles to millions of new community members across the globe. Job Description: We are seeking a Creative Strategist to join our creative team and support the Overheard portion of the Brand Partnerships creative team with our growing list of clients. As a Creative Strategist, you are integral to the entire branded campaign process, from pre to post sale. You work hand in hand with the Associate Creative Director on the Overheard team alongside the Marketing team, Account Managers, and Sales Leads to brainstorm, create, and analyze all creative output. You have a deep understanding of social media culture, the general zeitgeist, and can use your experience to inform strategy, rationale, and optimizations throughout the flight of branded content campaigns. This is a New York City based hybrid role, with an in-office presence required approximately 2-3 days per week. Responsibilities: Handling RFP creative and requests Brainstorming with ACD, Sales Leads, and Account Managers on creative strategy, aligning our brand voice with client asks Having a breadth / deep knowledge of historical social media “trends/formats” that pertain to and help the RFP Based on the internal briefing with pre-sale stakeholders, synthesize the request and brief the slack channel / creative team Deck building and collaboration with pre-sale stakeholders Developing creative mocks and examples Assisting in the creation of slides that articulate our creative strategy from briefing calls and brainstorms. Kick off calls Speaking to clients about creative strategies and as an expert on the Doing Things pages and IP’s voice and tone Provide client education, from a creative POV, to help them understand our approach to ideas and methods of organic content integration Brand messaging Understand how to translate brand messaging effectively to our audiences in a way that also yields positive sentiment from the audience and results for the campaign performance Maintain awareness around brand priorities // safety, while providing effective solutions to execute campaign needs & deliverables Content delivery and contextualization  Educate clients on social media trends and the intricacies of the voice and tone of our pages. Make brands feel comfortable with the content we’re delivering and instill confidence in our work. Revisions, content delivery, and quality assurance throughout the campaign Execute revisions in a timely and satisfactory manner. Know when and how to compromise on brand feedback in a way that protects the core of the creative while meeting brand desires. Qualifications: Excellent, empathetic, and solutions-oriented communication is a must -- both internally & externally 3-5 years of creative experience working on the brand or agency side Is very, very online. Understand what makes great, highly shareable content. You have a mental rolodex of both superb and cringe content examples. You are up to date with pop culture, trends, and ‘what’s cool’ at any given moment Ability to easily decipher an RFP or creative brief and understand the key goals and desires of the client that are most important Understands NY and LA and the intricacies of each city and the people that make them great A familiarity with OverheardLA/Overheard New York and the tone and audience Is a team player. Able to work across and with different teams and departments at Doing Things in a friendly manner Is organized. You can stay on top of multiple projects at once Self sufficient. You can take an idea and run with it—making it your own, and executing on it A strong copy writer. The base salary for this position at the time of posting will range from $80,000 to $90,000 USD. Individual compensation varies based on job related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
