Job Description:
We are seeking a solutions-oriented Associate Creative Director to support the Brand Partnerships’ creative team with our growing client list. As Associate Creative Director, you will be integral to the entire branded campaign process, from pre to post sale. You’ll work hand in hand with the Marketing team, Account Managers, Creatives, and Sales Leads to brainstorm, create, and deliver all creative output. A deep understanding of social media culture and experience in informing strategy, rationale, and optimizations throughout the flight of branded content campaigns is critical to this role.
Reporting into the Creative Director, this is a New York City based hybrid role, with an in-office presence required approximately 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
- Handling RFP requests and Pre-Sale creative
- Digest RFP brief with Sales leads and Account Managers, be cognizant of client desires and objectives.
- Have a deep breadth of knowledge in historical social media “trends/formats” that pertain to and help the RFP
- Based on the internal briefing with pre-sale stakeholders, synthesize the request and brief the rest of the creative team, keeping in lock step with Marketing team.
- Deck building and collaboration with pre-sale stakeholders
- Developing creative mocks and examples
- Owning the creation and communication of slides that articulate our creative strategy to the client.
- Kick off calls with clients
- Comfortable speaking directly to clients about our creative strategies while being an expert on the voice and tone of Doing Things pages and IP.
- Provide client education, from a creative POV, to help them understand our approach to creative and our proven methods of organic brand integration.
- Execute brand messaging
- Understand how to disseminate brand messaging effectively in a way that also remains relevant to the page and engaging for our audiences.
- Maintain critical awareness around brand priorities // safety, while delivering effective solutions to execute campaign needs
- Educate clients on social media trends and the intricacies of the voice and tone of our IP. Make brands feel comfortable with the content we’re delivering and instill confidence in our work.
- Revisions and quality assurance throughout the campaign
- Execute revisions in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Know when and how to compromise on brand feedback in a way that protects the core of the creative while meeting brand desires.
Qualifications:
- 3-4 years of creative experience working on the brand or agency side, or in a media publisher role.
- Can easily decipher an RFP or creative brief and understand the key goals and desires of the client that are most important.
- Is very, very online. While it isn’t mandatory to be a meme-maker yourself, you at least understand what makes a great, highly shareable meme. You have a mental rolodex of both superb and cringe branded meme examples.
- Possesses good communication skills, comfortable speaking in a room or on a video call directly to the client and other stakeholders. Able to assert Doing Things’ areas of expertise respectfully and clearly.
- Is a team player, able to work cross-functionally with different teams and departments at Doing Things in a friendly manner.
- Is analytical. You are able to look back on a recent campaign and come to understand why things performed the way they did and communicate your findings to the team and client.
- Can write clearly and construct slides in decks in a concise way that communicates our strategy and differentiators.
- Is organized. You can stay on top of multiple projects at once.
