Position:
Freelance Technical Product Developer - Soft Goods/Sportswear Timing : 1/6/25 start date Duration : Through 3/31/25 Hours per week : 40 Location : Denver, CO - hybrid onsite Tues, Wed, Thurs Pay rate : $50-60+/hr DOE
Responsibilities -Manage the technical development of new styles from design concept through production, while ensuring the fit and construction/BOM meet expectations of quality and cost -Create and maintain documentation of style information, BOMs, and product specifications -Plan and track the prototype schedule, fittings, and comments while adhering to deadlines -Lead fit sessions with support and coaching from Senior TD and Manager -Train and work in 3D software to edit blocks by Block Usage Guidelines and/or leverage vendor-created 3D assets for development to shorten prototype approvals and iterations. -Engage with cross-functional partners (Design, PM, Costing, Standards, Sourcing, etc.) -Work with the Standards Team to ensure all products within assigned categories are aligned to fit standards, guidelines and block usage targets -Some travel overseas to manufacturers may be required
Required skillset: -Experience with 3D design programs (Browzwear: V Stitcher, Clo3D, Optitex) is a plus. (Note: Access to Browzwear training is available) -Experience in Pattern CAD software such as Gerber, Optitex, V-stitcher -Experience with PLM/PDM systems -Ability to make and suggest pattern fit corrections and on-body fit corrections -Understanding of Bill of Materials, Garment Specs, Tech Packs -Some technical knowledge of Outdoor Product fit, construction, quality, materialization -Experience working with overseas vendors
