Service Writer
Pay: $70,000 base + commission

Looking for a motivated, high-energy Service Writer to join our Marietta Auto Sales service team. We are looking for an experienced Automotive Service Advisor who would like to work in a productive, safe, and professional environment. The following are the duties and responsibilities of this position:

Answer questions from customers and service providers. Use your expert knowledge to understand the client’s problems and explain their needs to staff for satisfactory service delivery. Service Writers also schedule appointments, process orders, monitor delivery, and handle customer complaints.

This is a full-time position with Monday through Saturday work hours 9 am to 6 pm.

Requirements

  • Previous dealership experience is a huge plus but not required.
  • Enthusiastic with high energy throughout the workday.
  • Outgoing with a friendly personality, especially while handling objections & writing service orders.
  • Have quality customer service skills.
  • Possess strong communication skills.
  • X-Time experience is preferred but not required.
  • DealerTrack experience is preferred but not required.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Current driver’s license with a clean record.
  • Ability to lift upwards of 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Write service orders for customers who bring in boats or call in over the phone.
  • Help get technicians the parts needed for the job.
  • Bill out work orders when jobs are complete.
  • Answer incoming and outgoing calls to customers.
  • Interact with customers, listen to their questions and concerns, and provide timely responses.
  • Educate clients about the company’s products, services, and offers.
  • Follow our policies and procedures related to cash, credit card, check, and closing out repair orders.
  • Schedule appointments, take orders, monitor service progress, calculate charges, and process payments.
  • Review customer accounts and report changes to internal staff.
  • Manage complaints, returns, and resolve customer grievances.
  • Record customer details and transactions.
  • Serve as a link between customers and different departments in the organization.
