JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, UX Research
LOCATION: 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES:
Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as architecture and engineering or research and development in these fields. Duties include:

1. Work directly with consumers, employers, and customer service agents to define how a premium healthcare benefits experience looks and feels and translate those findings into actionable next steps for design, product, and engineering;
2. Collaborate closely with engineers, product owners/managers, and designers to ensure the solutions we ship are aligned with users' needs and goals;
3. Evangelize the value of UX Research & Strategy, focusing on business value and risk mitigation;
4. Execute strategic and tactical research across a large pillar of the business;
5. Manage a team of UX researchers, supporting them in work prioritization, methodological selection, and insights translation;
6. Work with adjacent research teams to create a cadence for collaboration/sharing.

REQUIREMENTS:
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Human Centered Design, Human Computer Interaction, Psychology, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related computer occupation. Position requires two (2) years of experience in the following:

1. Quantitative and qualitative UX research;
2. Applying generative, formative, and evaluative research methods to complex business questions;
3. Manage an end-to-end research program involving multiple feedback collection sources at a regular cadence;
4. Translating insights into actionable recommendations that drive impact for the business;
5. Managing a team of researchers;
6. User Zoom, User Testing, Dscout, and Qualtrics.

RATE OF PAY: $178,589 - $194,027 / per year
