ABOUT THE ROLE
Inc. Business Media and Mansueto Ventures are seeking an experienced and creative Deputy Editor of Branded Content to oversee custom content production for Inc., the voice of the American entrepreneur. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of content creation, editorial storytelling, and the digital media landscape. The candidate will be responsible for working directly with advertisers to manage and deliver high-quality branded content campaigns that align with the editorial mission of Inc. and engage its audience.
Salary range: $100,000 - $140,000 + bonus eligible. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, industry, and education.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Content Production: Oversee the end-to-end execution of branded content campaigns from idea to production to publishing. Manage a team of freelance writers and editors to successfully execute branded content programs. Content formats include articles, infographics, ebooks and immersive storytelling.
- Client Service: Collaborate with clients and partners and work closely with them to understand their objectives and translate them into compelling story ideas and content series.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards for content quality, ensuring that all branded content aligns with Inc’s voice, style, and values.
- Creative Ideation: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to ideate on new business and generate innovative content ideas that resonate with our target audience and drive revenue growth.
- Content Strategy: Work with studio leadership to further develop a comprehensive branded content strategy that aligns with the company's goals, values, and editorial standards. Participate in weekly sales meetings and provide content strategy, as needed.
- Performance Analysis: Contribute to campaign wrap up reports with assessment of the current campaign performance, and provide content ideas for renewal discussion.
- Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in branded content and content marketing.
- Event Production Support: Collaborate with and support our custom events lead for the studio’s virtual and in-person events.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in business journalism and/or business content marketing.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Experience interacting with sales and marketing teams.
- Client-facing experience.
- Creative thinker with a deep understanding of storytelling and digital media.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills.
