InterVision Company is seeking a Proposal Writer that will be responsible for developing compelling, comprehensive and persuasive responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other related business development documents. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing skills, the ability to meet tight deadlines, and a proven track record in proposal development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in proposal writing or a related role.
  • Proven ability to write persuasive, client-focused content for government and/or commercial RFPs.
  • Familiarity with proposal management tools (e.g., Responsive (RFPIO), Loopio, or similar platforms).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word.
  • Knowledge of proposal methodologies (e.g., Shipley or APMP) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce is a plus).
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Proposal Development:
  • Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and other solicitation documents to understand requirements, evaluation criteria, and client needs.
  • Develop clear, concise, and compelling content tailored to each RFP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts (SMEs), business development, and project management, to gather and integrate information into proposals.
Content Creation and Editing:
  • Create original content, ensuring alignment with company standards, client requirements, and strategic goals.
  • Edit and proofread proposals for accuracy, clarity, grammar, and compliance.
  • Adhere company or individual information to specific client formats.
  • Maintain consistency in tone and style while adhering to branding guidelines.
Project Management:
  • Coordinate the proposal development process, including timelines, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Monitor and track progress, ensuring on-time submission of all deliverables.
  • Enter and update requests in the CRM to track proposals.
  • Measure and report on key metrics related to proposals.
  • Facilitate proposal reviews and revisions with stakeholders.
Research and Analysis:
  • Conduct research to understand the client’s industry, competition, and requirements.
  • Incorporate best practices and innovative approaches into proposals.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and government/commercial procurement processes.
Content Library Management:
  • Organize and maintain a library of standard proposal templates, boilerplate content, and reusable materials.
  • Update and improve content to reflect evolving organizational capabilities and successes.
