The position can be based out of any CDM Smith office, in the U.S. nationwide. We offer in-office or hybrid working environments allowing for flexible work options.

Reporting to the NAU Senior Marketing Manager, you will support selected, complex pursuits each year across NAU and will be engaged from the preselling phase through submittals and interviews. The overall responsibility for this position is to champion, or assist other champions, in the development, writing, graphic development, review, and preparation of the technical/approach sections.

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Analyze RFPs and the client’s project objectives to create a technical approach that addresses specific project requirements and potential challenges.
  3. Work with technical specialists and the project manager to facilitate the development of the strategy CDM Smith will use to execute a project.
  4. Apply communication and facilitation skills to gather necessary information from internal and external parties to support writing activities.
  5. Storyboard technical sections and develop detailed outlines that include intended graphics before the technical writing begins.
  6. Write succinct, persuasive content for technical sections within proposal space and format limitations.
  7. Work with graphic designers to incorporate visuals to enhance proposal clarity and impact.
  8. Review and edit the contributions of others to ensure accuracy and professional presentation.

  10. Work with teaming partners to formalize shared writing technical assignments.
