The Ramaz Upper School, a Modern Orthodox Yeshiva day school, is looking for a full-time teacher for Hebrew Language and Literature for the upcoming school year. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about sharing skills and expertise in the Hebrew language and Israeli culture, and who will share a love for Medinat Yisrael.
Candidates must have a work permit.
Candidates should have:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and teaching credentials from an accredited institution (North America or Israel) is preferred.
- Experience teaching Hebrew as a second language.
- Experience teaching at the high school level.
- A full command of Hebrew at a level of mother tongue.
- A strong understanding of Israeli history, literature, and culture.
- Ability and willingness to work with students in various group settings, using multiple teaching methods.
- Commitment to meaningful collaboration with colleagues.
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to keeping parents informed and engaged.
- Interest in professional growth and commitment to continuous learning.
- Ability to be self-reflective and committed to learning from feedback received from colleagues, administrators, and students.
