We are looking for an Assistant Director of Audio Visual. You will report to the Director and work in office, as well as attending shows.
Expectations:
- Demonstrate professional attitude and appearance in client engagements.
- Establish and maintain relationships with client personnel in pursuit of future business.
- Show direction and initiative when not under direct supervision.
- Budget time effectively in order to manage multiple tasks.
- Develop understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each Midwest employee.
- Establish a working relationship with each Midwest employee.
- Develop and utilize leadership and teamwork skills.
- Develop new business at local hotels & meeting facilities.
- Serve clients in a timely manner.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the ordering and delivery of Audio Visual inventory to specific shows.
- Complete and distribute all forms necessary to prepare for individual shows.
- Keep accurate records of all dealings with show clients.
- Have necessary resources available at all events.
- Participate in event planning, setup, support, and removal.
- Perform necessary warehouse functions.
- Act as primary liaison to all assigned shows.
- Responsible for AV inventory control, maintenance, sub rentals, etc.
- Other duties upon request.
Required Skills:
- Outside sales experience.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to details and follow up on them.
- Computer experience and knowledge of basic Microsoft application software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to effectively manage projects, and people.
- Ability to operate office equipment.
- Ability to setup and operate any required Audio Visual equipment.
- Ability to operate warehouse machinery when necessary.
