Junior Architectural Designer
Location: Brooklyn, NY (On-site)
ALAO (pronounced 'allow') is seeking a Junior Designer to join our team in our Brooklyn office. We are looking for a candidate with a passion for both architecture and interior design, who can demonstrate a strong interest and proficiency in both fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design and documentation process.
- Prepare presentation drawings and material boards.
- Assist in the production of technical drawings and construction documents.
- Attend project meetings, take and organize meeting minutes, and support construction contract administration tasks.
- Coordinate with team, vendors/suppliers, contractors, and others to support project success.
- Manage individual deliverables and workflow within the firm’s project schedules and communicate effectively about that schedule within the design team.
Qualifications:
- Professional degree in Architecture.
- 1-5 years of professional architecture experience.
- Strong Design and Digital Design Skills
- Proficiency in ArchiCAD (required for drafting, modeling, and design development).
- Excellent visualization skills (Lumion preferred).
- Experience with technical detailing and knowledge of construction processes.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Legal Authorization to work in the US.
Salary: Salary range commensurate with experience and education per AIA Compensation Salary Survey. (Range $55,000-$75,000)
