The Caring Place (@Miami Rescue Mission & Broward Outreach Centers) is a leading provider of services to the homeless and needy of South Florida. We are looking for like-minded, dynamic individuals to come and join our team. The Caring Place provides emergency shelter, residential programs, job training, education & computer literacy classes, healthcare, transitional housing, permanent housing, employment opportunities for homeless men, women, and children as well as programs for “at-risk” youth.
We are currently seeking a FT Media Manager at The Caring Place Administrative Office in Miami, FL,
JOB SUMMARY
The Media Manager (MM) is responsible for overseeing and executing all media-related strategies, including managing digital content, social media platforms, advertising campaigns, and media partnerships. This role ensures that organization’s media presence aligns with our brand and goals.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees the daily workflow of the Media Department
- Provides training, guidance and support to media staff, volunteers and Christian Service Assignment (CSA) clients
- Handles performance reviews and discipline of employees in accordance with company policy
CORE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees and manages the media department, ensuring all aspects of digital, social, and traditional media are executed effectively and consistently with the organization's vision and goals
- Develops and implements media strategies for all communication platforms, including the company’s website, social media channels, and radio division, ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement
- Directs and manages content creation for the organization's website, including written copy, visuals, and multimedia assets
- Manages and monitors all social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.), including scheduling posts, crafting messaging, and responding to audience engagement
- Coordinates and leads the media team in producing radio segments, podcasts, and other audio/video content for distribution
- Works closely with the Director of Community Development and Marketing & Communication Department to align media strategies with overall marketing and outreach campaigns
- Develops and tracks performance metrics for all media platforms to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met and identifies areas for improvement
- Plans and executes media advertising campaigns, including paid social media ads, radio spots, and digital media initiatives
- Builds and maintains relationships with media partners, vendors, and influencers to maximize reach and engagement
- Coordinates the production of media materials (videos, blogs, social posts, radio content) from concept to execution
- Stays up to date with the latest media trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the organization is using cutting-edge techniques to engage and communicate with our audience
- Will lead and/or participate in devotions, prayers, or other ministry activities ex. outreach events
- Must be in agreement with and sign The Caring Place Statement of Faith
- Performs other related duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in media management, marketing, or communications, with at least two (2) years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Must be computer literate with expertise in MS Office Suite, GSuite and experience using media management tools and platforms (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics)
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to create compelling content across various media types (digital, print, audio, etc.)
- Must have strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods, and have the ability to lift and/or pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must also be able to see, hear and speak, in order to interact with staff and the general public
- Must also be able to move around as needed to perform essential job duties
