Job Description
The client we are working with is seeking an Industrial Designer specializing in sheet metal design for finishing systems. The role involves creating 2D and 3D models, preparing detailed manufacturing drawings, and collaborating with engineers to meet project goals. Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and/or Solidworks is preferred.
Responsibilities

Design sheet metal components and assemblies for finishing systems.

Create detailed manufacturing documentation.

Collaborate with engineers and project managers.

Utilize AutoCAD and Inventor for modeling.

Optimize product aesthetics and functionality.

Manage design projects from concept to production.
Essential Skills

Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and/or Solidworks.

Experience in sheet metal design.

Ability to create detailed manufacturing documentation.

Collaboration with engineers and project managers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in sheet metal and powder coating.

Experience with BIM.

Knowledge of powder coating processes.
Work Environment
Working onsite in a cubicle with the engineering team. Will also be on the floor and getting hands-on with the product. The facility in Vancouver has multiple spray booths capable of handling automotive and aerospace/defense sector projects, such as planes. The role offers 3 weeks of PTO, 5 sick days, and verified holidays.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00
