Proper Hospitality is seeking an experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join our marketing team in Los Angeles.

The Sr. Designer plays a vital role in delivering innovative and high-quality d esign for our h otels. Reporting to and partnering closely with the Creative Director, this position is responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining the cohesion and integrity of Proper Hospitality's unique visual representations, while simultaneously developing and discovering new channels in which to expand our visual and artistic presence.

You will work on developing a cohesive visual design language across all physical and digital platforms for multiple h otels, including:

  • Austin Proper
  • Downtown L.A. Proper
  • San Francisco Proper
  • Santa Monica Proper
  • Avalon Hotel Beverly Hills
  • Avalon Hotel Palm Springs
  • Hotel June Malibu
  • Hotel June West LA
  • Ingleside Estate
  • Montauk Yacht Club
  • The Culver Hotel
  • Venice V Hotel

From social, emails, F&B branding and high level ideation, you will be crafting the user experience from your designs.

Key Responsibilities

Concept & Design Development

  • Ideate, design and pitch creative ideas
  • Help the creative team solve problems creatively through design
  • Provide insights in internal meetings, ensuring productive and goal-oriented solutions
  • Elevate the established design aesthetic

Creative Production

  • Balance multiple project deadlines simultaneously while managing time effectively
  • Work closely with the creative team to identify and address any resource constraints or conflicts
  • Take ownership of deliverables, maintaining quality control across all client projects
    Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and build i deation

Collaboration

  • Coordinate closely with the creative d irector and designers, effectively communicating and implementing client feedback across multiple projects
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration across creative team disciplines

Brainstorm & Ideation

  • Actively participate in internal brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh ideas that align with client goals and campaign objectives
  • Research trends, audience insights and competitive benchmarks to bring informed perspectives to creative discussions

Culture
  • Champion the Proper culture, contributing to a positive, collaborative environment
  • Stay current with graphic, typographic, cultural and fashion trends plus new techniques within the graphic design industry
  • Drive internal conversations around new design trends and motion graphics innovations, ensuring the team stays ahead of the curve

Qualifications

  • An experienced creative portfolio with g raphic design and art direction for l lifestyle brands
  • 3-5 years of agency experience, with a focus on social and digital marketing
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop
  • Video editing is a bonus
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital advertising, and integrated marketing strategies
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn from senior team members

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with social and digital marketing campaigns
  • Current understanding of all social media platforms.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
