JOB SUMMARY:
The Social Media Specialist manages the National FFA Organization's social media platforms. In collaboration with the marketing team, they execute the day-to-day social media strategy and implement tactics, including crafting engaging social media content, writing, photography, and video; managing the social media content calendar, responding to and engaging with followers; tracking performance of various social media initiatives to improve business results; and maintaining the organization's social image through social listening.

In collaboration with the marketing team, they execute the day-to-day social media strategy and implement tactics, including crafting engaging social media content, writing, photography, and video; managing the social media content calendar, responding to and engaging with followers; tracking performance of various social media initiatives to improve business results; and maintaining the organization's social image through social listening.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and maintain the social media calendar and reporting dashboards for all FFA social media channels.
- Collaborate with the department leaders to create a social media strategy.
- Create and share engaging content based on the social media strategy.
- Use social listening tools to identify influencers as well as issues the organization may need to address.
- Engage with followers and respond to inquiries.
- Follow brand guidelines in the design of social media content.
- Seek out and recommend social media opportunities, features, or promotions.
- Remain current with relevant technologies and trends in social media.
- Act as the social media thought leader for internal teams and FFA stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in social media management, including creating, executing, and optimizing social media campaigns
- A working knowledge of design and video editing software
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
