In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
- Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
- Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
- Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
- Remain in "valid" Visa status as applicable.
- A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
- Federal Work Study student may apply.
- In good disciplinary standing.
- Must be located in the U.S.
The Center for Music Therapy partners with community organizations to address identified health inequities through the utilization of inclusive and equitable music-based experiences to support health and wellness. Focused around education, advocacy, program development, and implementation, the center's goal is to be a global leader of evidence-based music experiences designed to impact the overall physical, social, and emotional health of children, adolescents, and adults in our collective communities. This includes elevating the use of music-based experiences within communities to foster expression, support healing, strengthen connections, enhance capacity, and improve overall quality of life.
The Center for Music Therapy seeks to hire a non-music therapy student to assist the Clinical Director and Community and Partner Engagement Director in the operations and administration of the Centers goals and objectives.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting in department-related events and projects as assigned
- Coordinate all pertinent clinic training information
- Coordinate promotional materials for public inquiry
- Available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week
- Invoice Submission and Tracking
- Social Media management including postings and upkeep accounts
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Strong computer literacy
- Strong social media management skills
- Excellent verbal/oral communication skills and strong organizational skills
- Eligible through student employment
- Must not be a current music therapy major
