Job Summary:
Supporting the agency with travel enterprise, requirements management, travel management, and commercial travel programs subject matter expertise and support to enhance organizational leadership’s ability to make informed, fact-based decisions that positively impact the daily execution of defense travel management mission requirements and the development of longer-term strategies. NOTE: This position is a REMOTE opportunity contingent upon an anticipated contract award.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analysis and develop case studies that support the implementation of strategic initiatives and facilitate executive briefings to Defense Travel stakeholders.
- Provide input to draft responses for Government approval to the DoD customer base/travel community relating to common travel issues and concerns.
- Support the Government’s development and execution of comprehensive communications plans in support of program and strategic initiatives.
- Assist in stakeholder analysis (customers, industry/government partners, and governance groups), prepare communication themes, and identify appropriate vehicles of communication.
- Provide input for key messages and track results to determine the effectiveness of the Government’s communications strategy.
- Assist internal stakeholders with drafting, coordinating, reviewing, and updating training materials with the DoD travel card vendor, Services/Agencies (SAs) and General Services Administration (GSA).
- Assist in the preparation and development of DoD briefings for the annual GSA Smart Pay Training Forum and other program briefings and presentations.
- Assist Government in preparing draft work products for revisions of the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) to reconcile against existing policy and ensure policy revision complies with existing laws, regulations or policies and is not contradictory to DoD objectives.
- Support Government personnel in gathering and incorporating internal and external stakeholder concerns and viewpoints, and publishing documents that maximize their understanding or respond to their questions concerning DoD travel policy and regulation.
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, must have an additional 5 years of Microsoft Office Suite experience [10 years total].
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum five (5) years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, must have an additional 5 years of Microsoft Office Suite experience [10 years total].
- Public Trust Clearance is a plus.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Desired Qualifications:
- DoD Travel experience a plus.
