The Role

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, coordination, and control of several projects and/or contracts. The Senior Project Manager must serve as the primary leader of the construction program, liaising between team members and clients, on all matters. This role may have direct reports.

Qualifications:

  1. 7+ years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor
  2. Extensive experience managing and coordinating multiple projects as well as managing personnel, subcontractors, and vendors
  3. Very experienced in producing detailed fixed price estimates; ability to use RS Means or other published unit price books
  4. Extensive knowledge of construction means and methods
  5. Possess effective negotiating skills
  6. Strong ability to adapt and be flexible to frequent changes in a fast-paced work environment
  7. Demonstrate integrity consistent with Centennial’s core values
  8. Collaborate and work effectively in a team environment
  9. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  10. Adapt to evolving technology and systems (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam)
  11. Mentor and train team members
  12. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field highly desired

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Plans, coordinates, and manages all facets necessary to complete projects within budget, on time, and deliver quality work; manages projects in accordance with contract requirements and Centennial systems; enforces Quality Control Plan and implements Site Safety; attends pre-construction, progress, and other project meetings; manages project close-out.
  2. Estimating: Performs independent review of estimates based on technical specifications, scope of work, and drawings; confirms all necessary line items are included in the estimate.
  3. Subcontractor Management: Manages the coordination of subcontractor buyout; reviews project cost requirements; manages negotiations with subcontractors.
  4. Scheduling: Establishes and maintains project start, progress, and completion schedules.
  5. Business Development: Contacts new and existing customers to discuss their needs and propose solutions.
  6. Safety: Ensures compliance with Centennial’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) guidelines.

  3. The ability to frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel
  4. The ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, or reach
  5. The ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
