Kronenberger Rosenfeld is a 20-year-old collaborative boutique law firm that focuses on speech, advertising, intellectual property, privacy, and internet-related issues.

We are looking for a self-starter associate who will be involved in all aspects of the firm’s legal work and assist with cutting-edge legal matters. Our ideal candidate has 3-5 years of litigation experience in both state and federal civil litigation. The person is committed to communicating well with our clients and is a true advocate for fighting for what’s right in the world of digital media and technology law.

This position can be work-from-home or the employee can work in our San Francisco or Orange County office. While we often work opposite traditional law firms, we are not one of them. We take pride in the fact that our office is very friendly and respects employees’ time at and away from the office. We work from 9 to 6 PST, but late nights and weekend work are rare. Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee small litigation matters as the primary attorney;
  2. Work in teams of multiple attorneys and paralegals on larger litigation matters;
  3. Draft pleadings and briefs in speech, privacy, intellectual property, advertising, and other lawsuits;
  4. Conduct discovery and manage settlements;
  5. Participate in hearings and other case appearances.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. JD degree and bar admission, preferably to the California Bar (but not required);
  2. 3-5 years of experience working as an attorney at a law firm with a focus on state and federal civil litigation;
  3. Familiarity with California and federal civil procedure.
