General Role Description

Design and produce creative materials, execute all aspects of creative work within the organization, and manage external vendors.

Role Accountabilities

  1. Develop visually compelling concepts that align with the brand and business objectives.
  2. Identify and manage external creative vendors, freelancers, or agencies for specialized skills or projects, as necessary.
  3. Design and produce a wide range of creative materials, including digital assets, print collateral, presentations, tradeshow materials, and promotional content.
  4. Coordinate timelines, deliverables, and quality expectations with external resources to ensure consistent and appropriate results.
  5. Create, implement, and manage efficient workflows and processes for creative projects, from concept to completion.
  6. Regularly assess and improve creative processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and responsiveness to business needs.
  7. Proactively seek creative needs across the business, and collaborate with stakeholders to align project goals and deliver as needed.
  8. Ensure all creative work meets brand standards and quality expectations.
  9. Review and refine creative assets for consistency, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  10. Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and maintaining timelines.
  11. Identify project risks and propose solutions to keep deliverables on track.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience.
  2. 5 years’ experience in the graphic design field.
  3. 3 years’ experience in a technical product or services company.
  4. Proficiency in current design software including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
  5. Working knowledge of design principles, such as those related to typography, information hierarchy, color.
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of production and rendering methods, including drawing, offset printing, photography, interactive media.
  7. Demonstrated knowledge of photography and video production and editing techniques.
  8. Demonstrated knowledge of web production design techniques.
  9. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  10. Demonstrated successful positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
  11. Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts.
  12. Availability to travel domestically, up to approximately 10%, and internationally, up to approximately 5%, sometimes on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. 8 years’ experience in the graphic design field.
  2. 5 years’ experience working in the power electronics or other capital equipment industries in any combination of the metals, material handling, renewable energy systems, paper, or related general industries.
  3. Knowledge of motor, drive and automation systems for industrial applications.
  4. Proficiency in current design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Premier, Dreamweaver).
  5. Knowledge of Wordpress.
