JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX Nation is seeking a dynamic, experienced Producer to join the live team. As the Producer, you are a self-starter with excellent editorial skills who can create compelling content for the FOX audience! The ideal candidate is a seasoned writer who is detail-oriented and excellent under pressure. As a Producer, you will conduct in-depth research, write live scripts, and pitch compelling segments. The Producer must have prior live-show control room experience.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Pitch guests, stories, and segment ideas
  • Write guest intros, anchor questions, and teases
  • Select elements such as sound, video clips, and graphics to tell a story
  • Build accurate and constantly evolving research packets
  • Oversee all aspects of productions including story research, scriptwriting, field shoots, obtaining archival video, and managing rights and clearances
  • Coordinate with other departments throughout Fox such as legal, finance, graphics, marketing, field production, and media relations
  • Book guests and conduct both on and off-camera interviews

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a live television control room at a news organization, production company, or documentary company
  • Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Strong and accurate writing
  • Line producer experience
  • Thorough knowledge of current events and politics
  • Ability to travel when required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced creative environment, working both independently and as a part of a team
  • Ability to think creatively and develop new and interesting approaches to storytelling
  • Willing to work nights and weekends when needed

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $75,000.00-100,000.00 annually for high cost labour markets such as but not limited to New York City and Los Angeles, $62,500.00-83,300.00 annually for all other US locations. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
