TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Newport News, Virginia, 23601 Pay Information $2,092 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Medical Surgical Float Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Guaranteed Hours: Information not provided Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required; must have iCare experience and at least 18 months of medical/surgical experience License: VA License or proof of compact license required at submission Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Ability to float to multiple units including 4 medical units, 2 general surgery units, 2 neuro units, oncology, and ortho - 450-bed level two trauma center experience - Prior travel experience is accepted - One supervisory reference is needed for submission Job Description: - The registered nurse will be expected to float to various units based on the needs of the facility. - Day shift typically has a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, while night shift typically has a 1:6 ratio. - Emergency Department: Take an appropriate assignment as needed. - All managers will conduct interviews to ensure that candidates are the right fit for the position. - Candidates are encouraged to prepare thoroughly for the interview process. - Locals are accepted at the same base rate. - Must not work both travel assignments and per diem contracts simultaneously. - Prior permanent employees must wait for at least 6 months before being hired for a travel position again. - Keep requested time off to a minimum, preferably with no requests for a calendar week off during the assignment and no more than 7 days total.
