Position: Audio Visual Design Engineer

Department: Technology Systems Group

Reports To: Senior Vice President of Technology Systems Group

Job Overview

The Audio Visual Design Engineer plays a key role in designing and implementing cutting-edge audiovisual solutions. This position involves collaborating with sales teams, analyzing client requirements, and developing innovative AV system designs. The role requires a strong technical background, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage complex projects from concept to completion.

This is an in-office, Monday-Friday position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with sales teams to develop AV designs that align with client needs.

  • Project Strategy & Planning: Assist in account planning and coordinate complex pre-sales engagements.

  • Design & Engineering: Develop solution architecture, detailed configurations, and bills of materials (BOMs).

  • Proposal Development: Create solution proposals and presentations for prospective clients.

  • Client & Project Support: Act as a technical liaison, reviewing Statements of Work (SOW) and ensuring seamless implementation.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct technical reviews, oversee project execution, and ensure client satisfaction.

  • Administrative Tasks: Manage reporting, documentation, and other essential project-related activities.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the audiovisual industry. AVIXA CTS-D certification is a plus.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of networking, high-end video servers, and lighting interfaces. Experience with major AV manufacturers for video, audio, and computer integration.

  • Design Expertise: Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; Revit experience is a plus. Experience in 3D projection studies is essential.

  • Software Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Problem-Solving Mindset: Self-motivated, proactive, and able to deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment.
