Senior Web/SharePoint Designer

Location: Elizabeth City, NC (Hybrid)

Clearance: Public Trust

Provide DevSecOps and Agile IT support services for operational mission support for the systems under the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Information Systems Division (ISD) portfolio.

Responsibilities

1. Design, create, and modify Web sites. Analyze user needs to implement Web site content, graphics, performance, and capacity. May integrate Web sites with other computer applications. May convert written, graphic, audio, and video components to compatible Web formats by using software designed to facilitate the creation of Web and multimedia content.
2. Design and develop SharePoint systems to accomplish functions in an optimum manner. Develop plans for systems from project inception to completion.
3. Analyze the problem and the information to be processed and define the solution. Design and build user interfaces for SharePoint sites using a variety of techniques and tools.
4. Ensure that the "look and feel" supports the organization’s strategies and goals and facilitates user interaction with the system.
5. Design and develop workflows, lists, forms, and dashboards.
6. Design Documentation, Content Migration, Testing, Deployment, and User Training. Ensure SharePoint site standardization via site and content templates, metadata tagging, workflows, and reporting. Communicate effectively with customers on a day-to-day basis.
7. Respond to user-initiated help desk tickets and provide resolution to issues as required. Maintain and refine permissions and SharePoint groups to assist lead developer in ensuring proper security controls are in place.

Qualifications

Required:

1. Bachelor’s or associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Math, or related field or at minimum IT Certification.
2. Minimum of five (5) years of experience with HTML, JQuery, Web Services, and SharePoint Designer.
3. Five (5) years' experience is equivalent to two (2) years of education.
4. Two (2) years of experience with Kubernetes, Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent.
5. Two (2) years of experience in an Agile DevSecOps software development environment and methodologies.
6. Must be able to obtain a favorable Tier 1 for unclassified systems.
7. SharePoint Development experience preferred. Supporting the organization by implementing SharePoint solutions within the environment and working with key stakeholders throughout the development process.
