The John F. Kennedy Library Foundation seeks a talented and mission-driven marketing professional to execute our digital and traditional marketing campaigns for the JFK Presidential Library and Museum. Grounded in the history of President Kennedy’s life and legacy, these campaigns should elevate the brand of the Library and Museum and broaden our audience. Increasing attendance to the museum and in-person events is an essential function of the Associate Director of Marketing position. The Library and Museum should be recognized as a destination and experience for people of all ages.
The Associate Director of Marketing reports to the Vice President of Communications and External Affairs and is an integral member of the Marketing and Communications team. The in-person schedule is hybrid, but the Associate Director of Marketing is expected to be on-site at least three days a week and for special events (which may include evenings). This person must possess strong project management and communication skills, an ability to deliver presentations (in-person and virtual), and demonstrate creativity that results in compelling storytelling of the Kennedy presidency to universal audiences.
The Library and Museum has a global footprint and it should be reflected in our marketing and advertising. This is a great position for a creative and proactive marketer who has the ability to connect nuanced historical stories to contemporary times for great impact.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create and execute comprehensive marketing plans focused on increased in-person attendance and the growth of group tour audiences.
- Develop a robust digital marketing strategy, establishing and reporting on the success of established key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Manage paid media and audience segmentation, as well as the production and placement of all associated creative assets for digital, print, and OOH advertising.
- Establish relationships with local and national tourism industry professionals; position the JFK Library and Museum as an important tourist destination with the goal of increasing attendance of these important audiences.
- Supervise agencies and third-party vendors (such as designers).
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior staff of the Foundation and program managers of the Library.
- Manage and track the budget for weekly and quarterly reporting within the Foundation budgeting infrastructure.
Requirements/Skills
- 5-8 years in experience in digital and content marketing with proven, impactful results.
- Experience in museums, educational institutions, or the arts is a plus.
- Applies a team-oriented approach and works in a collaborative style.
- Focus on data-driven results.
- Proficiency in social media content creation (as an additional support to the social media manager).
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Microsoft Outlook Suite.
- Familiarity with Canva.
- Google Analytics.
Compensation
Salary range $90,000-95,000 commensurate with experience.
