General Summary
The Marketing Director will lead the evolution of the iconic Chrome brand to build loyalty with the current core audience while also expanding into new audiences to grow the brand. This critical leader will be responsible for marketing strategy, budget allocation, creative development, advertising campaigns, social media, and leading the marketing team to achieve company goals for brand awareness and growth.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Leads the success of the brand’s platform, positioning, communications, and creative strategy across all channels: ecommerce, amazon, wholesale, the Drop Shop, and international distributors.
- Ensures the brand shows up consistently in all key markets including social media, consumer and trade events, and other relevant activations.
- Oversees the execution of brand campaigns and ownership of the multi-channel marketing execution.
- Manages influencer, sponsorship, and affiliate program, including researching new partners, pitching influencer projects, and tracking project performance and ROI.
- Develops marketing plans with subsidiaries, key brand partners, and wholesale accounts to drive brand advocacy and sell-through.
- Manages the PR agency to build considered, strategic editorial plans for product launches, product news and PR programs/events that support business goals and directives. Collaborates with creative team(s) to identify and provide creative assets to the PR agency to enhance coverage.
- Leads roadmap for direct marketing programs (email, SMS) to retain customers, increase brand loyalty, and grow active members and sales.
- Produces reporting, analysis, insights for visibility on performance and KPIs for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Works collaboratively with the product team to create compelling product stories.
- Leads a Marketing team of employees, sets annual goals, and ensures that team members understand their level of influence and contribution to those goals.
Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of direct experience in marketing for consumer brands in diverse channels: ecommerce, amazon, wholesale, and international. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact and influence all levels of people within and outside of the organization.
- High-level of financial and business acumen.
- Ability to manage large scale budgets.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple work requests and projects.
- Ability to independently prioritize workload and adapt to change.
Location:
This role is based at Chrome HQ 3 days a week in Portland, Oregon and remote for 2 days.
Salary Range: $140K - $160K
