Overview
The Marketing Coordinator (“MC”) reports to the Manager, Marketing at Flyover Chicago (“FOCH”) and is responsible for supporting the planning, development, and execution of marketing activities at FOCH. Working closely with Flyover’s global marketing team and the Flyover Chicago Operations team, the MC's primary responsibility is to support the success of the overall operation by supporting the planning, development, and execution of marketing activities, building consumer engagement, driving guest visitation, and growing ancillary revenue streams. The MC understands social media best practices, marketing KPIs, and has a flair for generating engaging social media content, hosting in-market media, leading contests, and the production of marketing assets including on-site signage, sales tools, and creative projects. Attention to detail and the ability to organize and prioritize tasks are important to be successful in this role, along with the ability to foster inter-department collaboration. What is the compensation for this role?
The wage for this role is $55K-60K and a full breakdown of perks and benefits will be discussed during the interview process.
What will you do in this job?
- Support the execution of marketing campaigns, media relations, and promotions.
- Support the Flyover social media and content marketing teams by collecting content in the form of photo, video, and live video, as well as identifying new content opportunities (as directed).
- Monitor and post content across the Flyover Chicago social media channels that drives engagement and acquires new followers.
- Oversee the planning, management, and execution of media itineraries, FAM trips, influencer campaigns, events, and broadcast productions, including hosting in-market media, bloggers, and influencers as required.
- Coordinate complimentary visits for contest winners, media, and VIP guests.
- Generate ideas that support the growth of seasonal features, events, and ancillary revenue stream initiatives.
- Lead the production of marketing assets such as on-site signage, sales tools, and small creative projects such as sales collateral, print/digital advertisements, eblasts, and website updates.
- Build out creative briefings for the Pursuit marketing team in Asana.
- Update minor onsite signage requests in InDesign and Photoshop.
- Compile performance reports and work with the Manager, Marketing & Brand Experience to turn data into actionable insights.
- Ensure digital and social platforms support core business objectives and promotional activities.
- Create and manage email newsletter content and process for FOCH in coordination with global teams.
- Ensure website content remains up to date, editing directly as needed.
- Understand the Flyover Chicago marketing budget, create purchase orders, and submit invoices for payment.
- Represent the marketing team at meetings as required, bringing ideas and creative suggestions on how to build consumer engagement, drive guest visitation, and grow ancillary revenue streams.
- Help manage the storage of marketing assets including images, electronic files, and creative archive library within our digital asset management systems.
- Ensure cleanliness and presentability at the attraction, paying close attention to detail.
- Provide sales support as needed for special projects, under the direction of the Sr. Manager of Sales.
- Support marketing and sales team members with all other tasks as directed.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?
- 1-3 years of experience in a marketing or communications role, preferably in hospitality, restaurants, theatres, hotels, theme parks, or resort environments.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, or journalism preferred.
- Excellent understanding of social media best practices and platforms and enterprise social media tools, such as Sprout Social and Hootsuite.
- Ability to work independently with the support of the larger marketing team to execute strategies as well as administrative tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential, including inter-department collaboration, relationship management, and conflict management.
- Experience leading projects from conception to implementation and evaluation.
- Proficiency in computer skills required, including MS Office, Adobe CS suite, digital marketing, SharePoint, and Asana.
- Resourceful, adaptable, resilient, and having a strong sense of self-awareness.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build and foster strong professional relationships within the FOCH and Pursuit teams.
- This role requires legal ability to work in Chicago.
- This role may require occasional travel.
