The Morehouse Office of Strategic Marketing, Communications, and Admissions is seeking to hire an experienced marketing professional and strong people manager to expand Morehouse storytelling to support key reputation, rankings, enrollment, academic, and revenue-driving initiatives across the College.

About the Position: The Associate Director of Content Marketing (ADCM) will plan and execute strategies that showcase and amplify the Morehouse experience while promoting awareness and support for the College’s mission, vision, and initiatives. The ADCM will report directly to the Director of Brand Marketing and Communications (DBMC) and lead a team of content creators who serve as the central point of contact for content, social media, and design needs for the College. The ADCM will also provide oversight for a student content creators program that drives user-generated content. The Content team’s goals include but are not limited to increasing Morehouse’s social media followership and engagement, admissions numbers, attendance at various Morehouse events, etc. The ADCM will drive the day-to-day management of the Department’s and the College’s content efforts by developing a content calendar for institutional marketing, branding, admissions, and other initiatives designed to highlight the College’s value proposition for key stakeholder audiences. The ADCM will assist the DBMC in assembling the digital asset management system that will house and catalog all photography, videography, and graphics captured at the College by the content team and contracted vendors for the College. The ADCM will also assist and support the DBMC in the management of the College’s brand messaging, consulting, and coordination for institutional initiatives. This includes serving on a handful of regular committees and instituting best practices in reaching key target audiences. This role will collaborate with every department within the College. The ADCM will assist the DBMC with overseeing alignment to our brand. Cultural competency, interpersonal, and collaboration skills are a must. Required Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated personal and/or professional understanding of the culture, value, and impact of Morehouse College and HBCUs at large. This is purpose-driven work. Entrepreneurial work ethic/execution balanced with exceptional creative vision and storytelling capabilities. Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communications skills. Cultural competency is a must. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or an appropriate related field. A minimum of 8 years of experience in marketing, content, and/or brand management. A minimum of 5 years of experience in creating content for various channels. Preferred Qualifications Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Assist the DBMC with overseeing programming within the Department. Strong understanding of how to leverage content to promote and elevate the College mission. Lead the amplification strategy for the College’s academic, social & service programs and initiatives to effectively target external constituencies and progress Department goals in alignment with the College’s Strategic Plan. Responsible for quality control, consistency, and inclusivity of the College’s storytelling across all mediums. Assist the DBMC with management and alignment to Morehouse brand and style guidelines. Serve as point-person regarding Morehouse merchandising and licensing requests. Manage the digital asset management system that houses institutional photos, videos, and graphics created by the Content team and contracted vendors for the College. Lead the development and execution of the College’s content for print and digital assets. Lead a team of content creators and designers for print and digital mediums, including video, photography, graphic design, and more.
