Content Strategist, Consumer Marketplace
Location: REMOTE
As our Content Strategist, you'll play a vital role in executing our consumer brand's content strategy, working closely with the Sr. Content Manager to bring their vision to life. You'll be responsible for developing content calendars and ensuring all content aligns with our brand voice and messaging. You will be researching and identifying high-performing content opportunities across SEO, social media, and email and collaborating with cross-functional teams to assist in establishing our brands as industry leaders (sparefoot.com, storage.com, selfstorage.com).
What you will do:
Content Planning & Execution:
- Collaborate with the Sr. Content Manager to translate the overall content strategy into actionable plans.
- Research and identify SEO-optimized content opportunities for various platforms (blogs, articles, social media posts, email campaigns).
- Contribute to comprehensive content calendars, ensuring a steady stream of high-quality content across all platforms.
- Work within content production workflows, from ideation to editorial review and publication.
Content Creation & Optimization:
- Draft engaging and informative content aligned with brand voice and messaging.
- Leverage SEO best practices to optimize content for search engines.
- Research and implement data-driven keyword strategies to increase content reach.
- Collaborate with freelance writers and designers to execute content.
Social Media Management:
- Develop and implement social media content plans that foster engagement, brand awareness, and audience growth across multiple platforms.
- Create compelling social media posts that resonate with our target audience.
- Manage and analyze social media performance metrics to measure success.
Content Performance & Reporting:
- Assist the Sr. Content Manager with tracking and analyzing content performance across all channels.
- Generate reports on content performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor content strategies.
- Assist with maintaining and building content performance dashboards.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in content strategy or a related field.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices and content optimization techniques.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise, and engaging content in a variety of styles.
- Experience with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Data-driven mindset and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for staying current with industry trends and best practices.
- Enthusiasm for working within a project management tool (Asana).

- Experience with email marketing best practices.
- Working knowledge of WordPress CMS.
- Prior experience within the consumer marketplace industry.
