Posting Context Statement:
The Director of Video and Technology Services will oversee the production, execution, and distribution of team-specific, internal-use video content for University of Idaho Athletics and its 16 varsity athletic programs, providing the student-athletes, coaches, and staff with the tools to analyze and scout their own performances, as well as opponents and prospective student-athlete recruits.
Duties may include:
- Planning and directing activities to shoot, execute edits, and deliver video cutups to each sports coaching staff following each daily practice, as well as all competitions
- Managing the software, equipment, and technology associated with team video
- Researching and assessing new technology and best practices to help establish efficient office and department-wide strategies, philosophies, and initiatives
- Serving as an NFL liaison for all NFL scouts who visit the Idaho campus, creating and providing them access to all digital video for our student-athletes
- Other duties as assigned
This position reports to the Deputy Athletic Director, with an indirect report to the football head coach.
Required Experience:
- Experience in sport-specific video editing systems
- One year of football team video experience
- Experience interpreting and applying NCAA rules and regulations regarding compliance issues
Required Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Other:
- None
Additional Preferred:
- Two years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in DVSport 360
- Proficiency in video editing software
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift, carry and/or otherwise move up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 60 pounds occasionally
- Ability to actively operate video equipment continually for long periods of time, potentially without stopping
