Role Description

As the Exhibit Designer at Nimlok North, you’ll provide the creative link between the context/story and the physical design through the innovative use of structural, graphic, and experiential design. Located in St Paul, MN, this full-time, on-site position involves working in a variety of styles for different audiences and leading the projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

·      Participate in the design and development of visually compelling assets and materials that support marketing and sales initiative and contribute to successful sales outcomes.

·      Create conceptual and final renderings that relay the established objectives and story.

·      Participate in internal design meetings with Sales, Estimating and Operations to establish objectives and story for each project.

·      Participate in final design presentation and support how the design solution aligns with client objectives.

·      Participate in all meetings with the internal sales team and client.

·      Partner with Sales and Operations to meet lead times for concepts, final presentation, and revisions.

·      Approach small scale design with the same enthusiasm and innovation as larger more complex exhibits.

·      Demonstrate effective time management, thoughtful acceptance of constructive criticism, persistence, curiosity, active learning and big picture conceptual thinking with a keen eye for detail and organization.

·      Actively seek out and understand new design trends that will drive fresh and innovative client solutions.

Qualifications

·      Works well in a team environment and appreciates a collaborative experience.

·      Minimum 3+ years of related design experience.

·      Tech-savvy individual with proficiency in Vectorworks and Renderworks, or expert knowledge in comparable programs such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, or 3D Studio Max, as well as Adobe and Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., InDesign, Acrobat, Outlook, Excel, Word).

·      Working knowledge of graphic design.

·      Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·      Exceptional time management: ability to coordinate multiple tasks and prioritize.

·      Demonstrates initiative, accuracy, and professionalism in producing visually exciting work.

·      High School Diploma, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Physical/Environmental Requirements

·      Able to sit, stand or walk for the length of the work shift, up to eight hours.

·      Able to work on-site in an open-concept office and warehousing environment.
