BPCM
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented freelance Social Media Strategist to support our work with an automotive client, primarily focusing on social media strategy, content development, channel management, and editorial calendar management. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to create and manage content that aligns with client objectives, track KPIs, and ensure social media content is on-brand and impactful.
This role is ideal for those seeking a remote or hybrid opportunity with the potential for permanent hire, requiring a commitment of 60-70 hours per month.

Key Responsibilities:
CEO Strategy
- Collaborate on content development for the CEO's LinkedIn presence.
- Partner with the Brand Development Lead to design visual content that aligns with key messaging.
- Maintain and update a CEO-specific editorial calendar, including both monthly strategic planning and weekly content development.
- Align CEO LinkedIn content with a broader brand editorial calendar.
- Monitor and respond to comments, flagging any concerning comments and working with the client to manage responses.
- Set KPIs, track performance, and audit content to apply insights to future strategies.
- Support content development for brand LinkedIn channel
- Coordinate with the BPCM design team to create visual assets for LinkedIn posts.
- Create, maintain, and update editorial calendar
- As needed, publish content to the LinkedIn channel, focusing on reveals, auto shows, and other key brand moments.
- Monitor LinkedIn for comments, flag issues, and work with the client to manage responses.
- Set KPIs for client LinkedIn, track performance, and provide recommendations for content improvement based on audits.
- Work closely with the BPCM editorial lead to expand and manage an integrated editorial calendar, detailing content topics, timing, and assignments.
- Recommend creative content opportunities, including trending topics, news, or cultural moments to build content around.
- Participate in internal and client-facing meetings related to the development and maintenance of the integrated editorial calendar.
- Conduct social listening and maintain a social media conversation tracker, sharing insights regularly with the client.
- Audit competitors' LinkedIn profiles to offer insights and recommendations
- Assist with editing short-form video content using Canva, supporting future content initiatives.
- Audit and report on LinkedIn performance, providing insights to inform content evolution and strategy.
- Audit LinkedIn profiles of client leadership to ensure adherence to brand guidelines, providing updates and recommendations to the client.
- Conduct competitor audits on leadership social media presence to offer suggestions for visual and content improvement.
- Support the development of creative content ideas, content editing, or content development as needed.
- Coordinate with the design team to create HR-driven content, including graphics for internal communications (e.g., Employee announcements).
- 2-3 years of experience in social media strategy and content development, preferably in the mobility industry or within a PR agency.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, specifically LinkedIn, and social media management tools.
- Experience working with editorial calendars and collaborating with design teams.
- Strong writing, editing, and content development skills, with the ability to craft messaging that aligns with brand goals.
- Familiarity with social listening tools and ability to track social media conversations and trends.
- Ability to track and report on performance metrics, with an eye for data-driven decision-making.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Canva or similar tools for content creation (video editing experience a plus).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and clients.
Benefits
The anticipated compensation for this role is $20.00-$50.00/per hour. Actual compensation is based on a range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location. Whether a prospective employee will be paid within the compensation range listed above will depend on a number of factors including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations, and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based.
