The Position
The Customer Experience Associate II has the responsibility to receive, register and bill all the clinical cases to the insurance companies. He or she will assure that after the laboratory results are complete, all the documents will be scan and the information accessioning to the new iCore system. Will coordinate the clinical laboratory workflow as well as the personnel daily tasks and schedules.
Responsibilities
- Receive and register the patients in the SAIL platform system.
- Verify and confirm that the requested tests are performed by CorePlus or any of our Reference laboratories
- Verify eligibility and frequency for the tests with the medical insurance and patient’s medical records, respectively.
- Accession of patient’s demographic and medical insurance information to SAIL.
- Scanned insurance card, patient’s ID, and all documentation to the patient’s record.
- Assist the RCM department in the tasks assigned by its director.
- Clinical payment reconciliation.
- Keep custody of petty cash box, perform, and submit a daily report daily to the RCM specialist.
- Address phone calls as required.
- Coordinates the “home visits” and adds the appointment to the weekly calendar.
- Provide service to patients regarding result status, send results to doctor’s office when is required.
- Follows the requirements to comply with HIPAA Law.
- Accession manual requisition from Reference Laboratory clients in SAIL, if necessary.
- Communication with customer laboratories and CSR; if necessary.
- Maintain updated laboratory files.
- Send results via email or fax as requested and print out report with CSR.
- Verify invoices monthly.
- Maintain a good communication with labs personnel.
- Other tasks to be assign by the Supervisor.
- Work with supervisor and other staff to: develop and maintain a strategic perspective to contribute to accomplish organizational goals.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in related area.
- Strong computer skills including but not limited in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Power Point.
- Knowledge of regulations and standard of the regulatory agencies: CLIA, OSHA
- Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of Clinical Billing.
Working Conditions/ Physical Activity:
- Working a regular shift from Monday to Friday, with occasional extended hours
- Night shifts and weekends might be required
- Work indoors and outdoors with moderate-high physical activity
- The employee may occasionally lift and move materials up to 30 pounds
