Job Description Summary

Predictive Marketing at automotiveMasterMind is a talented group of individuals who focus on bringing innovative approaches to marketing. Our team creates and manages the production of B2C marketing campaigns on behalf of our automotive dealer and OEM partners.

The Marketing Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of our automotive brands. You will develop a strong understanding of each brand, including their CI (Corporate Identity) guidelines and brand voice, and will create content for new and existing campaigns for your brands. In this role, you will also focus on lead-generation marketing and will utilize a CDP (Customer Data Platform) to set up customer journeys and automated email campaigns for each brand. This position works closely with the design team to ensure our creative stays fresh while adhering to compliance guidelines. You will be expected to collaborate with internal and external teams to understand the marketing initiatives at the OEM level and how these can be incorporated into our dealerships’ marketing campaigns. An ideal candidate will be someone with at least five years of experience working on a digital marketing team.

A Successful Marketing Manager will:

  1. Manage a portfolio of automotive brands, including complete ownership of each brand’s CI guidelines, voice, sales events/monthly offers, design requirements, and general best practices.
  2. Create and modify marketing campaigns utilizing your brand-specific expertise in tandem with general automotive marketing insights.
  3. Oversee new projects from ideation through to scheduling, testing, and completion.
  4. Collaborate with designers and email marketing manager to create campaigns focused on driving engagement.
  5. Perform detailed data analysis, including the ability to draw conclusions regarding campaign performance.
  6. Propose and track improvements to customer journeys and orchestrate work across teams to ensure updates are completed and thoroughly tested according to schedule.
  7. Oversee brand-specific projects, including developing creative briefs, coordinating cross-functional timelines, communicating deadlines, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of all project milestones.
  8. Write strong marketing copy with concise and consistent messaging, and collaborate with designers, copy editors, and developers on new campaign creative across various marketing channels.
  9. Manage and document compliance approvals for your brand portfolio.
  10. Collaborate with the development team, design team, and copy editors to ensure campaign edits are properly implemented.
  11. Thoroughly proofread and approve campaigns and QA client data prior to deployment.
  12. Develop strong understanding of campaign variables and logic (how specific data conditions trigger campaign content).
  13. Conduct market research to stay abreast of OEM marketing initiatives, such as sales events and new vehicle launches.
  14. Respond to all relevant marketing-related inquiries and support requests, and resolve them in a timely manner.

Who You Are:

  1. 5+ years of digital marketing experience.
  2. Demonstrated success executing campaigns and/or lifecycle marketing.
  3. Experience working with a CDP or marketing automation platform.
  4. Effective time management over short- and long-time horizons, scheduling work and deliverable timelines for multi-month projects.
  5. Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with attention to a high level of tact, diplomacy, timeliness, and confidentiality.
  7. Solid project-management skills.
  8. Strong analytical skills with the ability to examine data, draw conclusions, and present findings.
  9. Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and staff members across the company.
  10. Problem-solving aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Project-management experience, supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
  2. Track record of optimizing workflows and brainstorming solutions to increase productivity and limit redundancies.
  3. Experience implementing and learning new marketing technologies.
  4. Experience sourcing vendors and building/maintaining vendor relationships.
  5. Proficiency with project-management tools (Airtable a plus).

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):

  • S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $54,400 to $98,200. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographical location as well as experience and qualifications for the role.
  • In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Generally, work is performed Monday through Friday, though holidays and weekends may be required.
