Job Description

Position: Senior Hardware Technical Writer

Duration: 6 months

Location: Cupertino CA (Hybrid)

Pay Range: $75/hr to $78hr on W2 (As per experience)

We are seeking an experienced technical writer to work in a cross-functional team on a hardware industry standard speciation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a public-facing document and collaborate with engineers in company and other technology companies. If you have a deep interest in the hardware behind cutting-edge consumer products, join us as we get ready for future product releases.

Responsibilities

Edit and re-write existing standards documents for brevity and clarity
Attend regular meetings with SMEs
Initiate and conduct document reviews for accuracy and adherence to style guides
Manage deliverables and deadlines

Qualifications

BS/MS in engineering (electronics or CS) with at least 10 years of work experience
Prociency with English grammar and punctuation
Strong writing skills • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and self-driven
Ability to work with tight deadlines and to manage workload efficiently
Extensive experience with MSWord and applying Industry style guides

Preferred

Experience writing for public standards and regulatory bodies
Design experience with hardware interfaces
