A law firm seeks a highly motivated Research, Writing & Litigation Attorney to join its team in Livonia, MI. Duties
- Assist in managing a diverse caseload, guiding cases from inception through trial.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
- Manage discovery processes, including document review and production.
- Take and defend depositions, ensuring comprehensive case preparation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Collaborate with colleagues on various projects to foster a supportive work environment.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved law school with strong academic credentials.
- Current admission to the Michigan Bar in good standing.
- Preferred: 3+ years of active litigation experience; recent law school graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Ability to handle cases independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Public entity defense experience is a plus but not required.
Education
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.
Certifications
- Active membership in the Michigan Bar.
