User Experience Writer Job at Planet Interactive in Culver City

Location: Hybrid in Culver City, CA

Duration: 12 months

Pay: Up to $84/hr, DOE

Planet Interactive is looking for a UX Writer to join APPLE on a 12-month contract. This role will be 40 hours per week and is hybrid in Culver City, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Work on feature development, naming, user flows, product logic, and education.
• Contribute to and implement style guides and shared nomenclature across services.
• Converge customer goals, business requirements, and brand values.
• Simplify complex systems into coherent, concise, and compelling interface copy.
• Collaborate with fellow designers to uncover and solve UI challenges.
• Address feedback and improve the performance of our content.
• Spend time with QA and Localization teams to ensure content appears properly for every audience
• Work with cross-functional partners and senior leadership to understand the boundaries of what’s possible, and push from there.
• Integrate feedback from product, marketing, engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
• Develop and represent a clear point of view, and adjust when needed.
• Write from scratch, edit existing copy, and attune language to existing patterns.

Qualifications:

• Experience writing for product experiences, particularly commerce or checkout flows
• Understanding of the end-to-end experience and how UX copy threads throughout.
• Enough fluency in design applications to effectively collaborate on wireframes and flows
• Knowledge of functional specs and the ways to provide feedback that influences requirements.
• Experience working closely with legal teams to ensure we’re expressing ourselves in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
