Slack is looking for a Director of Paid Digital Marketing to drive pipeline growth for Slack’s invoice business. As the Director of Paid Digital Marketing, you’ll have a unique opportunity to help attract, convert and retain Slack users. As part of the Growth Marketing team you will help new and existing teams to understand Slack use cases in order to drive leads, pipeline and ACV for Slack.
You will be a paid digital media expert, understanding, educating and representing these critical marketing channels and how we leverage and optimize them for growth. You will execute fully integrated campaigns, collaborating cross-functionally, managing campaign strategy, overseeing creative development and optimization, and identifying new opportunities for growth.
The ideal candidate will bring a combination of hands-on experience leading global digital campaigns, strategic planning skills, the ability to identify creative marketing solutions to drive growth, a deep sense of customer empathy, and a very strong bias for action.

Things you’ll do:
Strategy Development:
Create and implement comprehensive paid media strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives and business goals.
Identify target audiences across different platforms and develop tailored campaign messaging.
Determine optimal budget allocation across various paid channels based on performance data.
Campaign Execution:
Manage paid advertising campaigns on platforms like Google Ads, Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Twitter Ads, and programmatic display networks.
Develop ad creative, landing pages, and call-to-actions that resonate with target audiences.
Set up tracking and measurement systems to monitor campaign performance against key metrics.
Performance Optimization:
Continuously analyze campaign data to identify areas for improvement and optimize bids, targeting, and ad creatives
Conduct A/B testing to identify the most effective ad variations and landing page elements
Implement data-driven adjustments to campaign strategies based on performance insights
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate comprehensive reports on campaign performance, including key metrics like impressions, clicks, conversions, cost per acquisition (CPA), and ROI
Provide actionable insights to stakeholders on campaign performance and identify opportunities for further optimization
Collaboration:
Work closely with other marketing teams, including campaigns, content marketing, creative, and analytics, to ensure alignment and maximize campaign effectiveness
Collaborate with external agencies or vendors to manage paid media campaigns
Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Brand, Copy, and Design teams to transform ideas into compelling and personalized messages and product experiences
What we’re looking for:
Minimum 10+ years experience in related campaigns, growth, performance marketing, or related role
Growth marketing experience at a B2B company required
Strong understanding of paid advertising platforms and their functionalities (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.)
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation to identify trends and make informed decisions
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize campaigns for maximum ROI
Experience with digital marketing tools and technologies for campaign management and reporting
Strong written, oral, and social interpersonal communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in the paid media landscape
Proven experience planning, designing and executing growth experiments
An eye for impactful creative, ability to drive strategic messaging
