About the Role
The organization is seeking a dynamic Vice President of Communications Strategy to take a pivotal role in its executive leadership team. In this position, you will develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with our organization's strategic priorities. We are looking for a strategic thinker who possesses outstanding communication, political acumen, and media relations skills. You will work to enhance our brand and reputation while advancing our core objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
Crafting and managing key messages and communications narratives
Overseeing media relations
Leading and mentoring the communications team
Providing strategic counsel to executive leadership
The ideal candidate will be a passionate advocate for clean energy solutions, possessing a deep understanding of the political landscape as it relates to the energy industry. Applicants should have 12 to 15 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations, with a robust background in the energy sector. A Bachelor's degree is required, while an advanced degree or relevant coursework would be advantageous. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in high-impact communications strategies, experience leading teams, and knowledge of digital marketing and social media best practices.
We value results-driven individuals with a strong work ethic who can work independently but also embrace teamwork. Strong political acumen and experience in environmental or related fields are preferred, along with the ability to provide strategic counsel and manage relationships with government officials and policymakers.
