Role Summary
Are you looking for the next step in your Compliance career with the opportunity to join Life & Annuity Compliance? We are seeking a talented individual who is passionate about continuing to grow in their Compliance profession by applying extensive expertise and in-depth knowledge to guide actions in alignment with company objectives.
The successful candidate will become part of the Advertising Guidance team (“AGT”) and offer creative and effective solutions to challenges when reviewing and responding to advertising materials submitted by home office employees and/or appointed agents with affiliated and independent distribution. In this role you will have the opportunity to use refined communication skills to network with key contacts across teams, departments, and functions.

The main products handled by the Company are fixed life insurance, including indexed universal life insurance, along with living benefits, and fixed annuities, including fixed indexed annuities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply extensive experience and professional knowledge to creatively and effectively resolve submitted advertising materials, including social media and web-based, within internally established time standards.
- Execution – 60%
- Tactical – 40%
- Provide input on complex AGT processes evaluating variable factors, establishing methods and procedures for new assignments, and serving as a role model for junior colleagues.
- Develop and oversee routine operational plans, with work reviewed upon completion.
- Apply independent judgment to meet ambiguous demands, aligning with Law & Compliance objectives and adapting techniques for results.
- Understand interrelationships of disciplines, contribute to cross-disciplinary processes and policies.
- Lead an area of accountability or manage a program for Life & Annuity Compliance, including reviewing the work of peers and more junior colleagues.
- Proactively apply NLG values and Servant Leadership Tenets and lead by example demonstrating principles to peers and junior colleagues.
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive and relevant combination of compliance and/or life insurance and annuity work experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service through empathy, listening, and understanding client needs.
- Ability to independently understand, interpret, and communicate complex compliance topics.
- Demonstrate tact and professionalism and the ability to interact with individuals and leaders at all levels of the Company, the Field, and with the public on sensitive matters.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters.
- Strong organizational, time management, qualitative, and analytical skills.
- Set short-term goals (1 year or less) aligned with Law & Compliance objectives for AGT.
- Effectively work in a team environment, closely collaborating with business partners.
- All other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ Compliance-related experience
- LOMA certifications, specifically the AIRC designation
- FINRA Series 7 & 24 registrations or must obtain within 1 year of hire.
- Demonstrated extensive, in-depth product knowledge of fixed life insurance and annuities
The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.
Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
