Job Description Summary
JOB SUMMARY:
The Video and Digital Production Manager oversees the planning, production, and execution of video and digital content for KTSU Radio Station. This role ensures that all content aligns with the station’s mission to engage, inform, and inspire the public. The Video and Digital Production Manager leads a team, manages resources, and develops digital strategies to enhance audience engagement across platforms.

The Video and Digital Production Manager distinguishes themselves by their ability to produce high-quality content that resonates with diverse audiences, especially within the public media space. This position is pivotal in setting the tone for multimedia storytelling, requiring a keen eye for visual detail, a deep understanding of digital trends, and the capacity to manage a team in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the production of video and digital content for multiple platforms, including social media, website, live events, and on-demand videos.
- Develop and implement a content strategy to grow digital reach and engagement.
- Lead and mentor a team of videographers, editors, and digital content creators.
- Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for video and digital initiatives.
- Collaborate with other departments to align content with programming, marketing, and outreach goals.
- Ensure all content meets quality standards and adheres to brand guidelines.
- Track and analyze content performance, using data to inform future content strategy.
- Provide training and technical support for video and digital tools to the production team.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Digital Media, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in video production or digital media, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.
- Experience working in public media or a nonprofit environment preferred.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management systems preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
- Video production techniques, editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro), and live streaming technology.
- Digital media trends, social media platforms, and audience engagement strategies.
Skill in:
- Leading and managing a team to produce high-quality content.
- Project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Analyzing content performance data and adjusting strategies based on insights.
Ability to:
- Communicate effectively across departments and work collaboratively.
- Think creatively to produce visually engaging, compelling content.
- Adapt to evolving digital trends and apply innovative approaches to content production.
