About the Role

The organization is seeking a dynamic Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications to spearhead efforts to advance health equity, raise awareness of multiple sclerosis, and propel the growth of the MS movement. The ideal candidate will lead a large, integrated team and play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational planning of marketing and communications initiatives. This position encompasses fostering an inclusive culture focused on diversity, equity, and accessibility, while ensuring the organization’s mission and values are communicated effectively.

The Senior Vice President will be key in strengthening the Society’s brand, enhancing program awareness, and driving fundraising initiatives. Candidates must have at least 10 years of management experience in marketing, public relations, communications, brand development, or digital marketing, with a proven success record in a nonprofit or similar environment.

This role requires a leader with strong business acumen, organizational leadership experience, and expertise in data-driven decision-making. The successful candidate will embrace innovation, creativity, and inclusiveness, while skillfully managing conflict and driving transformative change across the enterprise. A steadfast commitment to the organization’s values and promotion of diversity and inclusion is essential.

The Senior Vice President will possess outstanding communication skills, the ability to forge and sustain effective partnerships, and a readiness to travel as needed (less than 10%).
