SUMMARY Gozney is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Retail Product Marketing to lead our global retail marketing, retail operations, and wholesale/trade event marketing efforts. This pivotal role is responsible for strategically developing how we show up at retail, optimizing retail operations, and enhancing customer experiences across all retail channels and global markets. Additionally, the role will ensure the look and consistency of our presence at trade shows and other events, align with retailers in both specialty and wholesale, and design and implement effective fixture strategies. This role is crucial for driving sell-through and accelerating category growth by developing and implementing strategies that convert customers in-store and online. The Director of Retail Product Marketing will oversee marketing activities across our global distribution base in key accounts and our best specialty dealers. You will work closely with our internal marketing, sales, and product teams and align with retail partners to build the brand and execute impactful marketing initiatives. We are seeking someone with the range to define and execute our five-year retail product marketing strategy while also rolling up their sleeves and delivering day-to-day tactical work at a very high level. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in retail product marketing, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex, multi-channel marketing and operational initiatives on a global scale. RESPONSIBILITIES Retail Product Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive global retail marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth across all retail formats, including big box stores, specialty retailers, and e-commerce platforms. Align retail product marketing initiatives with Gozney's overall brand strategy and product roadmap, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all markets. Bring the Gozney brand to life within our best retailers through effective in-store merchandising and product marketing. Retail Presence and Event Consistency: Strategically develop how Gozney shows up at retail, ensuring a consistent and compelling brand presence. Oversee the design and execution of trade show booths and other event setups, maintaining a cohesive look and feel that aligns with Gozney's brand standards. Partner with retailers to convey a consistent brand image and message across all touchpoints, from in-store displays to online content. Design and implement effective fixture strategies to enhance the retail customer experience and drive sales. Vendor and Partner Management: Select and manage external vendors for the creation of retail fixtures, marketing collateral, and other retail-related assets. Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet Gozney's quality standards. Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, collaborating to develop and execute tailored marketing plans that drive sell-through and enhance brand presence. Team Leadership and Development: Provide strategic direction and support to regional account managers, ensuring alignment with global objectives and local market needs. Create and reinforce the retail product marketing playbook strategy and implementation. Budget and Performance Management: Oversee the global retail product marketing and operations budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial goals. Monitor and analyze the performance of retail marketing and operations initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes and maximize ROI. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on strategies and execution across all retail channels. Collaborate with the product team to provide feedback on product performance in retail environments and influence future product development based on market insights. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum 7+ years of experience in retail product marketing, with significant global or senior-level responsibility in retail operations and trade event marketing. Leadership: Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams across multiple regions. Deep understanding of retail mechanics, including product segmentation, sell-in and sell-through cycles, and how to succeed at the store level across a variety of retail formats. Ability to develop and execute global retail marketing strategies that align with overall business goals and drive brand growth. Experience in planning and executing large-scale trade shows and industry events, with a focus on creating impactful brand experiences. Strong financial acumen, with experience in managing large budgets and maximizing ROI. Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments and regions. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage internal and external stakeholders. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and optimizing operations.
