SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the COO of WarHorse Gaming LLC., the Vice President of Marketing is responsible for driving the overall execution of all marketing operation efforts. This role leads strategic marketing matters with an emphasis on brand strategy, management, public relations, strategic community partnerships, and communications. The VP oversees customer development programs, promotions, and revenue building through integrated marketing initiatives and specific customer outreach. This position drives innovation and loyalty through positive brand association and communications, overseeing reputation-enhancing functions for all WarHorse Gaming, LLC. properties. The VP partners with the advertising agency of record to develop and implement marketing efforts and multimedia execution, including campaigns and programs aligned with WHG standards and strategic direction. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES: Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision, and Values of HoChunk, Inc. Provides strategic insight, direction, and oversight to ensure successful execution of strategic plans. Develops and aligns marketing plans to ensure consistency with the strategic vision of WarHorse Gaming, LLC. across all properties. Partners with the advertising agency of record and vendors to ensure successful execution of plans. Responsible for managing all executives responsible for property marketing programs, promotions, direct mail efforts, advertising, and player rating analysis. Directs strategies and tactics to increase awareness, visibility, and brand recognition. Leads and aligns all direct reports to ensure a consistent message is delivered. Develops and directs brand and marketing strategies to ensure alignment with executed marketing activities. Manages multiple priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines, often in stressful and high-pressure situations. Conducts competitive market analysis, maintains awareness of market share, and partners with other departments and Ho-Chunk, Inc. subsidiaries to promote products and services to attract and retain guests. Devises and implements short- and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness; implements changes required for improvement. Identifies key drivers of success. Establishes, monitors, and reviews departmental budgets regularly. Maintains positive relationships with Horsemen Benevolent and Protective Association (HBPA) leadership and employees; oversees devising of marketing initiatives/cost sharing for related programs. Ensures the department meets or exceeds established financial and performance goals and recommends changes to enhance profitability. Regularly reviews activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revises objectives and plans accordingly. Maintains a professional profile at VIP and other events with constant presence and interaction with guests. Promotes positive, fair, and ethical relations with all team members and contractors. May represent WarHorse Gaming, LLC. and/or Ho-Chunk, Inc. at events or promotions, both on and off property. Ensures compliance with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, internal controls, and government regulations. Effectively manages internal and external guest relations, requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy. Oversees staff management including hiring, training, discipline, scheduling, and performance evaluations. Ensures department delivers and maintains maximum guest service and satisfaction. Attends periodic all-property meetings and training sessions. Maintains relevant industry knowledge through continuing education and training. Facilitates communication throughout the property by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with team members within the department and with other departments. Maintains awareness of all new developments within the department and makes recommendations designed to maximize success. Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching, counseling, and other personnel matters are handled appropriately. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent work experience preferred. Ten (10) years of senior-level marketing experience, with five (5) years’ experience leading casino marketing operations. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software; and Casino Database and Customer Management software and systems. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of energy and output. Demonstrates strong organizational and leadership skills. Demonstrates commitment to guest service excellence and ethical conduct. Working knowledge of company internal controls and Policies and Procedures. This role is expected to travel between our main office locations and our Casino locations within the state of Nebraska. Travel is expected on a weekly basis for one or more days during normal business hours and may or may not require an overnight stay. CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Is this position responsible for selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages or do they have comp authority? Yes Gaming License Required? Ability to secure and maintain NE Gaming License required. Other Certifications? Driver’s License.
