Position Summary:

The individual in this position will serve as general support for a variety of Marketing functions throughout the company and will also have primary responsibility for specific marketing functions related to social media and financial literacy. General support will include assisting with content creation on various channels, special projects, and events, and serve as primary administrative support for the Marketing department. This individual will also assist in coordinating marketing driven community events for First Bank Richmond and its divisions.

This position requires a creative, well-organized individual, with ability to handle a multitude of tasks at one time. Individual must be a self-starter and problem solver with ability to prioritize effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Prefer individual with Business Administration, Marketing, Advertising, or English degree, or pursuing such degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Requires individual to possess above average oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to express ideas in a clear and concise manner. • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (to include Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), with strong emphasis on Excel and of Adobe PDF. Understanding of Graphic Design software and social media terminology, formats, and platforms helpful but not required.
  • Proficient in administration of social media channels Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn required.
  • Previous exposure to or experience with graphic design and use of Adobe Creative Suite helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions within authority.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills; ability to function well in a fast-paced environment; work on multiple tasks at the same time; strong attention to detail and ability to work in a self-directed manner.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Participate in creative brainstorming.
  • Lead efforts for social media monitoring and engagement. Create, schedule, and manage content (posts) on multiple social media platforms.
  • Assist in developing creative assets for ads, social media, and other projects, based on the direction given.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate information on the website and make regular updates in areas.
  • Assist in deploying email marketing strategy related to The Know Online Financial Education Center.
  • Facilitate in-person financial literacy events within the community.
  • Fulfillment of all promotional item and marketing supply requests from branches.
  • Provide administrative support for marketing department.
  • Assist with special research projects, which may include, but not limited to competitor shops, conducting surveys, new product launches, and more.
  • Assist with selecting promotional items and maintaining inventory control.
  • Assist with proofreading all marketing materials for accurate information and proper grammar.
